FAQ 1What is Iranian Children Right's Society (ICRS)?
ICRS was established in Los Angeles, California in 1999 as a non-profit organization to assist the Society for Protecting the Child's Rights in Iran, in their efforts to:
  • Educate the population about the plight of the street children
  • Enforcement of the existing children's rights
  • And introduction of the new laws

What is the Society for Protecting the Child's Rights (SPRC)?
SPRC is a non-governmental organization with charitable standing. They are located in Iran.


Is ICRS a legitimate organization?
Yes. ICRS is a children's rights advocacy organization under the Non-profit Public Corporation Law of the State of California. ICRS is a qualified tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Tax ID numbers: 33-0929967


What is your relationship to Society for Protecting the Child's Rights?
We are both independent organizations active in the area of children's rights. However, all our efforts in the United States and around the world are to benefit ICRS in Iran.


FAQ 2Why should I help the children through ICRS?
Because charities by themselves do not change the predicament our children are facing. We need to actively change the laws and educate the population. This can only be achieved trough diligent work amongst the various classes of society - ranging from the general population to legislators, politicians, policymakers, and child education specialists - in order to identify those factors which facilitate and impede the process of procuring and protecting these rights.


Can I visit your office in Iran?
Absolutely. We encourage you to do so and experience first hand the dedication and accomplishments by our all-volunteer work force. Currently our office in Iran contemplating a change of address. Please contact us to get an update and receive phone number and address of their new location.

Are members on the Board of Directors volunteers?
ICRS is comprised of all volunteer force in the Los Angeles and San Diego area who want to raise awareness about the Iranian children's rights in general and street children in particular. Our office in Iran also includes all volunteer members and board of directors. The only person on payroll is one office clerk.
